subjects that the student had to pass before:
- Physics,
- Electric circuits
Course learning outcomes
  1. Student is able to calculate the construction parameters of selected microwave passive elements
  2. The student can perform computer simulations and determine the electrical parameters of selected microwave passive elements
Programme learning outcomes
  1. In-depth knowledge and comprehension of complex concepts and phenomena in the field of electronics and telecommunications, methods and theories explaining the dependences between them, as well as main development trends in electronics and telecommunications; knowledge of the fundamentals of life cycle of electronic and telecommunication devices and systems.
  2. Ability to apply the knowledge to identify, formulate and solve non-typical problems related to electronics and telecommunications, to plan and to conduct adequate experiments, including measurements and numerical simulations also with the aid of self-developed methods and tools, to analyse and to interpret obtained results so as to draw conclusions.
  3. Ability to apply the engineering knowledge to design according to specific needs, and to critically analyse and to judge operation of electronic and telecommunication devices and systems, with consideration of non-technical factors; ability to formulate and to test hypotheses related to simple research problems in electronics and telecommunications.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences using specialised terminology from electronics and telecommunications also with the aid of English language at B2+ level according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; ability to present and to evaluate different opinions and attitudes and to lead and take part in a debate.
Programme content Computer simulation methods of microwave elements. Designing of passive microwave structures in microstrip technology.
Assessment methods
Learning outcome 1 - verification by means of a multiple-choice test method, allowing to gain a total of 10 points.
Learning outcome 2 - verification based on the evaluation of the laboratory report, 10 points

Grading policies To obtain the final credit, the following three conditions must be met simultaneously: 1. getting at least 5 points from the effect verification test 1. 2. getting at least 5 points. from the report verifying the effect of 2. 3. presence in laboratory classes
